ADAC Staff:

John Hayward

My name is John Hayward. I have been affiliated with the drug treatment field since 1988 and have been an addiction counselor with ADAC since January, 2002.  My experience includes a full time substance abuse technician with East Ridge Health Systems and in-patient treatment facility located in Martinsburg, WV. It was there that I had daily interaction with adult in-patient clients, which included individual and group counseling sessions as well as interaction with self-help 12 Step recovery programs.

I became a licensed certified supervised counselor with the State of Maryland and on February 9,2000, took a position as an addiction counselor working with adolescence’s at the Victor Cullen Academy, a state reform school located in Sabillasville, MD. This was a 225 bed juvenile facility, responsibilities included individual and group counseling for 25 inmates between ages 14-18. I remained at Victor Cullen just prior to the closure by the state of Maryland, which took place in April of 2002.

Kimberly Hale

My name is Kimberly Hale. I am currently employed with ADAC as an accredited Alcohol, Drug Counselor Trainee. My goal is to complete the remainder of my Bachelor of Arts Degree through Shepherd University, and receive my CAC-AD through the Maryland Board of Professional Counselors. I have gained experience on both the formal and informal levels of Alcoholism / Chemical Dependency. I have had substantial past experience of working with alcoholic / chemically dependent people through East Ridge Health Systems in Martinsburg, WV before becoming and employee with ADAC. I am also a most “grateful” survivor of alcoholism / chemical dependency, along with in-depth ACOA issues. My gratitude is towards God, and all those who He placed in my path to help me overcome the disease of chemical dependency. My desire is to extend the same care, hope and help to every individual I am given the opportunity to work with.
